Celebrating a Sense of Place
November 2006

On the 2nd December 2006, The Centre invited agencies and individuals to  a conferenceaimed at celebrating and taking forward the work that had been undertaken as part of the Sense of Place Project. This had involved working across the three Leader+ areas in the North of England on a project linked to cultural identity and heritage . The conference aimed to celebrate the work of both larger, well established initiatives and grass roots projects, and to develop new connections between those involved in landscape, heritage, culture and community projects, all of which are related to ‘sense of place’.
