6th Form Conference - October 2005
In conjunction with the University of Central Lancashire, Cumbria Institute for the arts and Aim Higher Cumbria, the Centre held a conference specifically for sixth formers from across the county.

Upland Songs - an evening of Poetry - July 2005
The evening celebrated and promoted poetry, prose, film, discussion and debate that was originally inspired by the ‘Upland Experiences Project’ steering group’s ‘away day’ at Borrowdale Youth Hostel.

ESRC Seminar: Valuing the Uplands -May 2005
This seminar was part of a series being coordinated by the University of Sussex and funded by ESRC.   The two day event aimed to help influence the way in which public programmes are appraised and evaluated in future.

Community Based Activity in the Uplands: Opportunities and Limits - November 2004
Our first annual conference which examined the opportunities and limitations to community based development in the uplands concluding with recommendations for the work programme of the Upland Centre.
