On the 16th and 17th May the Centre hosted
a seminar to discuss different approaches to
'Valuing the Uplands'. The seminar aimed to be of interest to
academics and practitioners alike and to examine the environmental, cultural and
commercial value of the uplands, from different perspectives. The seminar
also aimed to help influence the way in which public programmes are appraised and
evaluated in future. This seminar was part of a series being coordinated by
the University of Sussex and funded by ESRC.
